Head trampolining coach Rachel
Head Coach

I started trampolining when I was 7 & have always loved it. For me, the world spinning around & upside down is the most fun exercise I could do. The feeling of defying gravity & the adrenaline of going higher, somersaulting more, twisting faster is incredible. The satisfaction of working hard on a new skill, then finally achieving it is brilliant. I competed for years & still have trophies, medals, awards & certificates from past competitions. But I have always preferred learning new tricks, rather than perfecting certain ones for use in a competition. That's why I wanted to set up a recreational club locally, to progress new & interesting trampolining skills whilst in a fun & enjoyable atmosphere, without the stress of an upcoming competition, being judged on neatness, or compared to others.

I started coaching when I was 17 in 2007. I love my job because I get to share my passion with others. I enjoy the diversity of working with many different personalities & teaching both children & adults. I have lots of experience working with various disabilities & really enjoy coaching these ones. Coaching can be challenging & exhausting, but it is so rewarding to see the enjoyment & progress of each individual.

Level 2 Trampolining Coach
Born 19.07.76 (yes I am old). Married to the gorgeous Lisa with two beautiful budding trampolinists who don’t listen to me (Libby 11 and Isaac 8). Started trampolining at the age of 15 due to parents not allowing me to play rugby. I had one go of a trampoline during a wet play and thought “I want to be able to flip”. Always promised myself I would still do and be part of trampolining so I could teach my own children (well that worked out well). So have been a coach for 18 years or so, but have been bouncing for 25. Spent many years at a competitive club & even competing in leotards (yes they do my size). Really enjoy coaching and bouncing still to this day, can often be seen somersaulting followed by a trip to the hospital. Proud to be part of Tumbling Trampoliners!

Level 1 Trampolining Coach
I started trampolining at age 12 in 2015, because after passing all of my gymnastics levels but being reluctant to compete, I felt like starting something new. I started coaching at Tumbling Trampoliners in May 2018, and there's absolutely nothing I love more! To help everyone of different ages, personalities and abilities reach their own goals and targets is a privilege to me, as is spending time and building relationships with the younger ones especially. . Seeing someone's face light up as they achieve what they have worked so hard on is just incredible. I feel so lucky to be a part of our big bouncy family here and I wouldn’t change it for the world!

Coach In Training
I was born in 2004 and have been going to the club since 2015. Over the years that I have been going I have learned so much. In 2019 I was able to start coaching at the club and help to teach others all of the things that I have been taught. It’s so amazing to see people progress from new bouncers to intermediate and advanced bouncers over a few months, and to see the joy on the faces of all the people who come into the club and start bouncing! I love coaching and I am very glad to be able to spend as much time as I do at the club!

Proficiency Award Scheme Trampolining Coach
I'm Jumping Jewels I only started trampolining in May 2017 when I brought my children to the club, but it was love at first bounce! I've progressed like wildfire and now I'm becoming a coach, which I'm super-happy about! I love inspiring people and defying the limits that society puts on Mummies, daring to do crazy things and helping others find their self-belief. It's an honour to be a teeny part of such a wonderful team that Tumbling Trampoliners truly is! Let's do it! Xx

Software Developer, Financial Advisor, Spreadsheet Wizard, Photographer
Born in 1991 (yes I'm young). I'm French and came to the UK for the lovely British weather. I have been trampolining since 2014. I initially started because I wanted to learn how to sommersault and do flips safely, as I wanted to do them in parkour and snowboarding (I have been snowboarding for more than 10 years). Tumbling Trampoliners was the perfect club to learn as it's recreational, there is no competition and everyone is friendly! I'm a web developer - and no I do not live in a room in the dark in front of a computer, eating crisps and not seeing anyone. I have built the website you are looking at now, done marketing, design, photography, building & maintaining the trampolines etc. A bit of everything really! My hobbies are sports, photography and travel!

Young Leaders
Coaches Of The Future
At Tumbling Trampoliners, we have a training programme for our talented young people. Anyone over the age of 10, who has passed trampolining award 9 can be trained up to become a Young Leader. Qualified and experienced coaches run training days during half-terms and school holidays. At these, our advanced trampoliners learn how to start coaching lower level skills through safe progressive steps. They also learn great communication skills, teamworking, how to be positive role models and learn to contribute to making the club an enjoyable and safe place to be. After being trained, they volunteer to assist others learning to trampoline in the regular classes, all still under the supervision of our qualified coaches. We make sure they still have plenty of trampolining times themselves too though! Then if they want to, from the age of 16, Tumbling Trampoliners will fund their coaching qualifications. We love working alongside our Young Leaders and invest a lot of time training them, as these are our next generation of coaches.
